Six people have been arrested after €180,000 of drugs was seized in Coolock, County Dublin.

A number of searches were conducted with the aim of disrupting the sale and supply of drugs in the Coolock area.

An estimated €180,000 worth of combined drugs was located. €130,000 of suspected cannabis, €25,000 cocaine and €25,000 worth of heroin.

Cash and designer clothing was also seized.

A number of checkpoints were put in place during the day, which resulted in the seizure of 13 vehicles.

A number of road traffic offences were detected, and three horses were seized by gardaí on welfare grounds.

Two men appeared before the Courts in respect of outstanding warrants, while the remaining four men were released without charge.

A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
