A new AI tool for cancer patients is being trialled in a Dublin hospital.
The AI-powered conversational platform allows cancer patients to complete toxicity assessments and report symptoms remotely on their phones.
According to the Irish Independent, the platform is designed to assess patient's readiness for treatment, so they do not have to travel long distances for chemotherapy only to get turned away at the hospital.
The tool was created by Irish company eAltra and is being piloted in St James's Hospital.
