TheARCProject.ie Continues Weekly Open Meetings in Portlaoise & Announces Recovery Café Launch

TheARCProject.ie is pleased to highlight the continuation of its weekly open community meetings, held every Monday from 7–8pm in Room 4 (Prefab), Laois Partnership Building, Timahoe Road, Portlaoise.

These meetings are a vital and welcoming space for anyone affected by addiction—whether in recovery, supporting a loved one, or simply seeking connection and understanding. The ARC Project (which stands for Addiction, Recovery, and Community) is rooted in compassion, inclusion, and peer-led support.

The weekly meetings follow a 4-week rotating format designed to offer a variety of experiences and perspectives:

Week 1: Topic Meeting – Focused discussions on themes related to addiction, recovery, family impact, and personal growth.

Week 2: Guest Speaker – Real stories from people with lived experience, professionals, and community voices.

Week 3: Creative Recovery Workshop – Engaging hands-on sessions using creativity as a tool for healing and reflection.

Week 4: Connection & Conversation – An open-format evening that always includes a topical theme and lively, inclusive discussion.

These open meetings are designed to support not just individuals in recovery, but also family members, friends, and allies who are walking their own path beside someone affected by addiction. The meetings are facilitated by qualified and experienced facilitators. Everyone is welcome—no registration or referral needed.

Looking ahead, The ARC Project is excited to announce the upcoming launch of its Recovery Café, a community drop-in space offering tea, conversation, peer support, and signposting to local services. The café will provide a relaxed, stigma-free environment for connection and care. More details will be shared soon.
