A 120kg stash of cannabis has been seized in Co Meath.

Two men, aged in their 50s, were arrested by gardaí in the intelligence-led joint operation with Revenue’s Customs Service on Tuesday.

A Garda spokesperson said officers seized approximately 120kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €2.4 million in the Meath area.

“Two men in their 50s were arrested by An Garda Siochana and are currently detained at a Garda Station in County Meath under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996,” they said.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
