Portlaoise hospital cancel outpatient appointments for tomorrow Tuesday 7 January due to the adverse weather conditions.
As a result of the ongoing adverse weather conditions in Portlaoise and the surrounding areas, Portlaoise hospital has cancelled outpatient appointments for tomorrow Tuesday 7 January.
Affected patients are being contacted directly and will be rescheduled as a priority.
Hospital management said that it will continue to monitor the situation.
It said that urgent and emergency care continues at the hospital and that any patient who needs emergency hospital care will be seen. It also urges such patients not to delay attending the emergency department or seeking medical attention if they suspect they are having a heart attack or stroke and to please dial 999 or 112 in an emergency.
Hospital management thanks the public for their support and understanding and apologises for any inconvenience caused.
