Victim fears 'Tinder rapist' Patrick Nevin will track her down after his release from prison

A victim of Patrick Nevin, the 'Tinder rapist', has said she is worried he will track her down upon his release from prison in April.

Nevin was jailed in 2020 for sexually assaulting three women he met on Tinder.

The 44-year-old, who has been in custody since 2014, is scheduled to walk free from the Midlands Prison in April.

One of his victims said the attack continues to impact her daily life, over a decade on.

Speaking on Newstalk, she said: "I don't have a relationship...I didn't have a life. I don't have kids. I don't have a husband. I'm scared about men.

"I don't want to stay alone with men anymore. I always prefer places where I can see more than one person because I don't feel safe."

The woman is also warning people of the dangers of dating apps.

"Be careful. You never know who's there. Probably... a good man, a good woman, or it can be a monster.

"I feel exactly what I felt in the court when he looked at me with so much hate.

"This is horrible, because I was victim but I feel like a horrible person because I put someone in prison."
