Accumulated profits at the main entertainment firm owned by Late Late Show host, Patrick Kielty, have this year surged to €1.74 million.
Kielty returns for his third season as host of the RTÉ flagship entertainment programme on Friday night.
Now, new accounts filed by Kielty’s Boxed Productions Ltd show that accumulated profits increased by £137,339 (€158,733) from £1.37 million (€1.58 million) to £1.51 million (€1.74 million) in the 12 months to the end of March this year.
The post-tax profit of £137,339 (€158,733) for this year followed much more modest post-tax profits of £4,223 (€4,880) in the 12 months to the end of March 2024.
Prior to taking up the Late Late Show slot in September 2023, the company recorded post-tax profits of £234,649 (€271,206) in the 12 months to the end of March 2023.
The new accounts show that the value of the company’s current assets - made up of cash funds and money owed to the firm by debtors - increased from £1.5 million (€1.73 million) to £1.66 million (€1.92 million).
The accounts lodged with the Companies House in the UK were signed off by Patrick Kielty on September 3rd.
Numbers employed by the company this year reduced from three to two.
As a small company, the firm is not required to disclose revenues, salaries or any dividends paid out.
The performance of Boxed Productions Ltd has been boosted by the performance of its Irish based subsidiary, Pamanco Ireland Ltd which was set up after Kielty secured the role of host of RTÉ’s Late Late Show in May 2023.
In June 2023, Kielty confirmed that his three year contract involved RTÉ paying him €250,000 for each of the three 30-episode Late Late Show series.
Kielty was to also receive a one-off payment of €20,000 to cover pre-production and rehearsals before his September 2023 debut while he waived flight and accommodation expenses.
The first set of accounts filed by Pamanco in June show that it recorded pre-tax profits of €173,273 on the back of revenues of €286,656 to the end of July 2024.
Kielty is only the fourth host to present the Late Late Show following on from Ryan Tubridy, Pat Kenny, and the late Gay Byrne and Kielty's return this Friday follows a difficult period in his personal life after his mother Mary died in March and Kielty and now ex-wife, Cat Deeley announced the end of their marriage in July.
During Kielty's 2025/24 season as host, the Home Alone themed Late Late Toy Show broke its own viewing record with over 1.6 million viewers which included catch-up viewing on Saturday and Sunday and the repeat broadcast.
Prior to securing the Late Late Show role, Kielty was a popular face on UK TV and has presented shows on the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 including Fame Academy, Love Island and Stand Up for the Week.
Kielty began stand up whilst studying psychology at Queen's University Belfast.
