Hollywood star Sarah Jessica Parker has praised Donegal for its “great pubs”.

The Sex and the City actress has been holidaying in Kilcar for 30 years with her husband, Matthew Broderick, and their children.

Parker was speaking on Instagram with wine expert Kevin O’Callaghan about her new wine which is launching in Supervalu stores.

She said she and her family “love potatoes” when they stay in Ireland and she likes to visit the Rusty Mackerel pub near Sliabh Liag.

“We have some great pubs in our neighbourhood there. Every time we are there I try to have a glass of Guinness,” Parker said.

However, the 58-year-old said she loves the "ceremony" of watching people pour pints. Parker also discussed Irish food.

“The ceremony around the way we cook in Ireland has absolutely affirmed my love for food and it has changed my expectations of what I want when I come home."

Parker's collection of red, white and rosé wines in Supervalu is marked with an 'X' on the label.
