One person has been convicted of his murder and is serving a life sentence, but gardaí have previously said they believe that a number of people were involved.

On Thursday evening, Gardaí arrested a woman in her 60s as part of their investigation into Mr Burns’ murder.

She is being detained at a garda station in the North-West.

Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with any information to come forward, in particular, the occupant or occupants of a red van that it is believed to have been in the Donnyloop area at around 7pm on the evening Mr Burns was murdered.
