A woman in her 80s who was hit by a bus in Blackrock in Dublin nine days ago, on Wednesday, March 25th, has died.

The collision occurred shortly before 1.10pm on Main Street, Blackrock, and the woman, a pedestrian, was brought to St Vincent's University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

She was pronounced dead on Friday morning, April 3rd.

The coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged, gardaí said.

No other injuries were reported.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Road users with camera footage, including dash-cam, who were in the area of Main Street and Bath Place, Blackrock, Co Dublin on Wednesday, March 25th between 12.45pm and 1.15pm have been asked to make their footage available to investigating gardaí.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact Blackrock Garda Station on 01 666 5200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

Investigations are ongoing, a garda statement said.
