Woman seriously injured after being hit by a bus in Co Dublin

A woman has been left seriously injured after she was hit by a bus in Terenure, Co Dublin, on Monday morning.

The incident happened shortly after 10 am at Terenure Cross.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 40s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.

A technical examination of the scene is being carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and the road remains closed at this time.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area between 10 am and 10.30 am this morning, Monday 6th April 2026, are asked to make this available to investigating gardaí.
