Dining Initiative at Midlands Park Hotel Raises Over €11,000 for Children’s Health Foundation

Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise is delighted to announce that its Christmas Community Donation Initiative, Dine Out & Donate, raised an impressive €11,098 for the Children’s Health Foundation (CHF).
Throughout December, for every meal purchased at Kelly’s Steakhouse and Charter Bar & Eatery at Midlands Park Hotel, €1 was donated to the hotel’s nominated charity. The initiative saw strong local support, with guests dining throughout the festive season directly contributing to a cause close to the hearts of the Midlands Park team.
The Children’s Health Foundation provides vital support to sick children and their families across Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres. The charity was selected following the inspirational care received by four-year-old Matthew Corbally, son of Midlands Park Hotel team member Stacey Corbally, who works in the Meetings & Events department. Matthew is one of just three children in Ireland living with the rare genetic condition MPS VI (Maroteaux–Lamy syndrome).
Commenting on the initiative, a spokesperson for Midlands Park Hotel said the hotel was “immensely proud of the generosity shown by guests and staff alike,” adding that every diner played a part in making a meaningful difference to children and families who rely on vital healthcare supports.
The hotel extended its thanks to the local community for their continued support and generosity throughout the Christmas period.
