Laois County Council’s Regeneration Section Announce New Clinic Dates
Regeneration Clinics Announced
Laois County Council’s Regeneration Section has decided to hold addition clinics advising people on the grants that are available to renovate vacant and derelict properties. This is due to an overwhelming response to the initial drop-in clinics held throughout the year around the county. The fully attended sessions have prompted the launch of additional events taking place at Portlaoise Library and Rathdowney Library.
This expanded initiative supports property owners and prospective buyers across Laois who are seeking to transform vacant and derelict residential buildings into homes. Organised by Laois County Council Regeneration Unit, these free clinics offer practical advice and tailored guidance on renovation grants under the Croí Cónaithe (Towns) Fund. The SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) will also be in attendance at the Portlaoise Clinic.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
• Learn about available grants and funding & eligibility criterion for the renovation of vacant and derelict properties • Speak directly with Laois County Council vacancy & dereliction staff and SEAI representatives about your projects • Understand the eligibility criteria and application process for SEAI-supported schemes • Receive expert advice on energy upgrades on your property and how to make homes more sustainable Town Regeneration Officer, Denise Rainey said “The forthcoming regeneration clinics are a great opportunity for people to hear more about the grants available to renovate derelict and vacant properties.
