Neville Park Hotels has announced that its Skip My Room initiative at Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise and Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy has raised €4,000 to support the vital work of The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation. As part of the initiative, guests are invited to reduce housekeeping during their stay using a card provided in their room. Options include Skip My Room, meaning no cleaning or towel/linen change, or Towels Only, where full cleaning is skipped with just towels replaced. For each day either option is selected, the hotel donates €1 to The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation. Guests who choose the Skip My Room option also receive a €5 food and beverage voucher.

As well as contributing to a great cause, the initiative also supports sustainability and operational efficiencies, with savings reinvested into hotel teams and ongoing improvements in bedrooms and public areas. The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation was delighted to receive the donation, confirming that it will help provide over 222 hours of vital in-home nursing, respite and end-of-life care for families who need it most, giving exhausted parents time to rest and recover, allowing brothers and sisters to enjoy some time with parents, and allowing families to maintain a sense of normality during an incredibly difficult time. Commenting on the announcement, Dara Cruise, Group General Manager of Neville Park Hotels, said, “The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation provides an invaluable service to families facing the most challenging circumstances. We are proud that our guests and teams can play a small part in supporting such an important cause while also helping us reduce our carbon footprint through lower water, energy and chemical consumption. We look forward to continuing and expanding this initiative in 2026.”
