Emo NS 1-2
SCOIL Mhuire Abbeyleix left O’Moore Park on Thursday as the 2025 Division 6 Hurling Champions after an impressive victory over Emo NS in the O’Moore Park sunshine. Evan Brennan was the star of the show as he scored a whopping 4-7 to guide Abbeyleix to the championship.
Ryan Buggy forced the ball home in the early stages to raise a green flag for Abbeyleix. Emo responded with scores from Seán Hyland and a free from Patrick Lawlor, but the slick Brennan had 1-2 on the board for Abbeyleix in the blink of an eye.

Tommy Carroll added another for Abbeyleix before Brennan banged over another quick pair of scores midway through the half. Abbeyleix never let up and had goal number three when Buggy’s shot along the ground rippled the net.
Emo raised a green flag in response late in the half when Lawlor’s ’45 sailed all the way into the net. But that was immediately undone when the wonderful Brennan raced up the other end to ripple the net a second time. Abbeyleix led at the break by 4-6 to 1-2.
Christopher Blanco Rosales extended the Abbeyleix lead shortly after the restart with Brennan pointing a ’45 and another from play. Emo almost had a second goal but Alex Strong’s long-range effort came back off the upright.
Brennan continued to steal the limelight as he whipped in another two goals and a point inside the space of 90 seconds.
