THE Heath Golf Club is very proud that its Boy’s Interclub team has qualified for the prestigious All-Ireland final following an outstanding performance in the Leinster Central Area Qualifier held last week at Edenderry Golf Club.

A young boy who struck a golf ball at a Laois driving range but it rebounded hitting him in the eye has settled a High Court action for €55,000.

THE Heath Golf Club held a Charity Weekend of golf for Laois Hospice back in September. As a result of this generous gesture a cheque for €2,500 was presented to Mary Finlay, Honorary Treasurer of Laois Hospice recently.

A €5. 8m windfall has been announced for sports and leisure clubs in Laois, the largest amount the county has ever received under the sports capital and equipment programme.
