The Heath Golf Club donate €2,500 to Laois Hospice

The Heath Golf Club captains, Theresa Boyle and Charles Gallagher present a cheque to Mary Finlay, Honorary Treasurer of Laois Hospice
THE Heath Golf Club held a Charity Weekend of golf for Laois Hospice back in September.
As a result of this generous gesture a cheque for €2,500 was presented to Mary Finlay, Honorary Treasurer of Laois Hospice recently. In accepting the donation, Ms Final pointed to the fact that the Hospice provides a valuable service to all Laois families and the funds raised were much appreciated.
The format of the competition was an Open Champagne Scramble on Friday and Saturday followed by an Open Singles Stableford on the Sunday. The competitions were well supported by both members and visitors.
The winners of the Scramble competition were:
1, George Fennell, John G Conroy and Seamus McGrath 95pts;
2, Roland Bradley, Donal Booth and John MacNamara 93pts;
Best Ladies: Siobhan Flanagan, Tina Flanagan and Caroline Fahey 91pts;
Best Mixed: Tom Fitzpatrick, Ber Fitzpatrick and David Dawson 89pts.
The winners of the Ladies & Gents 18 Hole Singles Stableford were:
1, Siobhan Flanagan (22) 44pts;
2, Andrew Lambe (11) 40pts (C/B);
3, John Cushen (20) 40pts (C/B);
4, Therese Ryan (19) 40pts;
5, Colin Buggy (13) 39pts (C/B);
6, Dominic Hartnett (21) 39pts (C/B)
