Concern grows for missing Laois man
Gardaí and Stephen's family are concerned for his wellbeing
CONCERN is growing for a young Laois man who has been missing for almost three weeks.
Gardaí renewed their appeal today for 25-year-old Stephen Sheeran Phelan, who is reported missing from his home in Rathdowney.
Gardaí said they are particularly appealing to landowners and farmers in the area to check their land and outhouses.
Stephen is reported missing since Thursday, 8 October and was last seen in Rathdowney on Thursday, 1 October.
Gardaí and Stephen's family are concerned for his wellbeing.
Stephen is about 5 ft 11 inches tall and of very slim build, with blue eyes and a sallow complexion. He has a beard and dark hair, which may be much longer than in photos and may be worn in a ponytail.
He is believed to be wearing either construction attire or a full tracksuit.
Anyone with any information on Stephen's whereabouts is asked to contact Abbeyleix Garda Station on (057) 873 0580, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
In a renewed appeal on social media this week, Stephen’s grandmother Teresa Sheeran said: ‘Please phone ANY garda station if you think you see him or anything, however small, that will bring him home.
‘If by chance you see this Stephen, we love and miss you and just want you home. Cars are on standby to drive anywhere at a split second’s notice to bring you home.’
