Two men allegedly involved in Portlaoise annual cemetery Mass brawl back in court

TWO men who were allegedly involved in a violent incident at an annual cemetery Mass in Portlaoise appeared at the local District Court last week.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in Ss Peter and Paul’s Graveyard, Stradbally Road, Portlaoise on Sunday 31 May this year.
Gerard McInerney (38) of Kilcruttin Halting Site, Tullamore, Co Offaly, was charged with the possession of a knife on the date, while Daniel McInerney (31), with a UK address, was charged with affray under the Criminal Justice Act on the same date.
Judge Andrew Cody remanded both men on continuing bail to the 19 October sitting of Portlaoise District Court.
