CAMROSS NS are the 2025 Cumann na mBunscol Division 1 Camogie Shield winners after an impressive win over Our Lady’s Meadow NS Durrow in the final. There was only two points separating the sides at half time, but a Camross onslaught after the break left the result in little doubt.

Durrow started brightly with Aishling Mahoney and Juliette Quinn knocking over early scores. But Camross had the perfect reply as Ellie May Lowry found the net with a wonderful strike into the bottom corner.

Lowry nudged over a score shortly afterwards followed by another from long range as Camross were beginning to take control. A second goal then from Lowry put her side completely in the driving seat midway through the first half.

Hannah Dunne fired back for Durrow with a brilliant long-range effort from Mahoney cutting the gap further right before the break. That left Camross two points up at the break, leading 2-2 to 0-4.

Mahoney piled the pressure on just after the restart with a powerful strike over the bar only for Camross to head down the other end of the field where Lowry was on hand to bag herself goal number three of the afternoon.

Amber Palmer O’Keefe then got her name on the scoresheet as Camross moved four points clear approaching the final quarter. A fourth goal from Lowry followed as Camross began to put their foot down, with Durrow struggling to get out of their own half.

Lowry and Isobel Cuddy stretched the lead to eight points before a powerful strike from Kadi Cuddy raised a fifth green flag for Camross. She and Saoirse Brennan added further points in the closing stages as Camross wrapped up the win.
