Two men aged in their 20s and 30s, as well as a teenage boy, have been charged after they were arrested as part of an investigation into a string of burglaries across the country.

They will appear before Tullamore District Court on Monday morning.

The arrests, under Operation Thor, followed intelligence-led searches in counties Meath and Westmeath, targeting an organised criminal gang suspected of carrying out heists on both residential and commercial properties.

A high-powered car was stopped in Enfield, Co Meath on Friday night, and a large sum of cash was seized.

Operation Thor is An Garda Síochána's national strategy targeting organised crime groups involved in burglaries and associated criminal activity.

Also related to Operation Thor, a man is expected to appear before Donegal District Court on Monday morning at approximately 10:30am.

The man (20s) was arrested in connection with an investigation targeting an organised crime group suspected of carrying out burglaries at homes and businesses nationwide.
