Dunamaise Arts Centre to Host Special Screening of Oscar-Winning Documentary: No Other Land

Dunamaise Arts Centre, in association with Laois Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC), will present a powerful evening of cinema and solidarity with a special screening of No Other Land — the 2025 Oscar Winner for Best Documentary Feature.

Created by a Palestinian-Israeli collective, No Other Land tells the urgent and deeply human story of Basel Adra, a young Palestinian activist documenting the mass expulsion of his community in Masafer Yatta by Israeli forces. Spanning years of resistance and unlikely friendship, the film follows Basel and Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham as they navigate their shared fight for justice amid the brutal realities of occupation.

Winner of the Panorama Audience Award at the 2024 Berlin International Film Festival and the 2025 Best Documentary Oscar, No Other Land is a raw, intimate act of creative resistance — a vital piece of storytelling that echoes far beyond the screen.

This screening will also include a small fundraiser in support of Gaza relief efforts. Organised by Laois IPSC, the evening will feature a raffle and a merchandise stall, with all proceeds and donations going directly toward providing urgent medical aid, food, and essential supplies to families affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
