Pop star Lady Gaga and US rapper Doechii flaunt avant-garde looks in a new music video for their Devil Wears Prada 2 song.

The stars danced, strutted and posed alongside one another in the visual for Runway, their newly released track for the sequel of the 2006 fashion film which stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci.

Ahead of the anticipated film release on May 1st, the artists sported a number of bold looks in the songs’ accompanying visual including Marie Antoinette-like ballgowns, latex and matching platinum blonde wigs.

Directed by New Zealand dancer and choreographer, Parris Goebel, the three-minute video opens in a black and white striped room with the two stars on separate platforms on opposite sides of the frame – Gaga in a bright yellow wig and royal blue gown with Doechii in an oversized pink hat and black skirt frame or crinoline – with the two surrounded by brightly dressed dancers.

Later on in the video Gaga, real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is seen in a red bodycon latex suit singing underneath a red high heel sculpture, similar to the one on the film poster.

She later becomes one with Doechii, born Jaylah Hickmon, as the two wear a single jacket made for two with matching white shirts and black ties – a nod to the blockbuster’s statement colours.

Other looks in the video include their bedazzled bodysuits with the stars covered head to toe, aside from their eyes and mouth, singing: “Monday to Sunday I could turn a dancefloor into a runway.”

The song first featured in the trailer of the forthcoming film which follows journalist Andy Sachs (Hathaway) as she returns to the fictional Runway magazine as the fierce editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Streep) and close confidante Nigel Kipling (Tucci), come to terms with a new media landscape.

They trio reconnect with another former assistant, Emily Charlton (Blunt), who is now the head of a luxury brand and holds the keys to commercial money that could ensure Runway’s survival.
