MULHALL’S Meats will celebrate 95 years of excellence with three days of celebrations and a number of special offers throughout Portlaoise.

The celebrations and special offers will run from Thursday to Saturday, 12-14 November.

The most notable offers include 33 per cent off sirloin steak and half price on salmon. Customers can also look forward to a lively atmosphere in-store throughout the celebrations, with food tastings by local suppliers, family fun and entertainment, giveaways and prizes.

The Mulhall story began in 1931, when the family opened its first butcher shop on Main Street, supplying quality beef from the family farm in Ballyroan.

From those early beginnings, the business grew and evolved through generations while remaining true to the values on which it was founded: quality food, skilled craftsmanship, personal service and a commitment to the local community.

In 1975, Seamus and Ursula Mulhall continued the family tradition and in 1983 the business moved to Kellyville. By 1993, Mulhall’s had expanded beyond the traditional butcher’s counter into a fresh food store, with Mulhall’s Meats remaining at its heart. Today, 95 years after first opening its doors, the family business continues to be a proud part of Portlaoise life.

Speaking ahead of the celebrations, Gerard and Seamus Mulhall said: "Reaching 95 years in business is a very special milestone for our family. We are incredibly proud of our history here in Portlaoise and very grateful to the generations of customers who have supported us over the years.” They said that everyone is invited to come along, join in the celebrations and be part of this special occasion.
