ARLES NS – A SMALL SCHOOL WITH A BIG HEART AND BIG OPPORTUNITIES!

Choosing the right primary school is one of the most important decisions a parent can make. At Arles National School, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive in an environment where they feel happy, supported and valued.

More than just a place of learning, Arles National School is a welcoming, inclusive community where dedicated staff take pride in getting to know every pupil and helping them discover their individual strengths and talents. We encourage curiosity, build confidence and foster a lifelong love of learning, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

There is plenty to discover beyond the classroom, too. Our pupils enjoy a rich variety of opportunities across sport, music, STEM and creative activities. We are particularly proud of our achievements, which include All-Ireland STEPS Young Engineers Awards, eight Green-Schools Flags, the Farm Safety Gold Star Award, the Active Schools Flag, the EU Blue Star Flag and STEM Curious Minds Gold Awards.

Developing an awareness of the world around us is also an important part of school life. Through initiatives such as Picker Pals, Composting Ireland and the Grow At School programme, we encourage our pupils to become environmentally aware, responsible and active members of their community.

For those with a sporting interest, there is something for everyone. Our pupils have enjoyed considerable success in Cumann na mBunscol Gaelic Football, securing Shield titles in consecutive years. Alongside Gaelic games, children have opportunities to participate in swimming, basketball, tennis, hurling, football, rounders and gymnastics. Whether they are discovering a new sport or developing an existing talent, participation, teamwork and enjoyment are always encouraged.

We understand that family life can be busy, which is why we also offer an on-site Breakfast Club and After-School Club, providing additional support and convenience for parents.

At Arles National School, we want every child to feel that they belong, that their achievements matter and that their potential has no limits. It is a place where friendships are formed, confidence grows and young minds are encouraged to flourish.

If you are considering a school for your child, we would love to hear from you and welcome you to the Arles National School community.
