Sydney Harvey, Derrycarrow, Camross passed away peacefully on Thursday 1 surrounded by his loving family and in the loving care of nurses and staff of Saint Vincent’s Nursing Unit, Mountmellick.

Paddy Lowry, Kiln Lane, Mountrath, a former employee of Bord Na Mona, died peacefully on Friday 2 May at Beaumont Hospital Dublin, surrounded by his loving family after an illness bravely borne. Paddy was predeceased by son Jason (died in infancy).

Camross Heritage (Clg) has secured funding to open a community café in the Poet’s Cottage, located in the heart of the community. Poet’s Cottage is a thatched cottage owned by the community in Camross.

Michael Hogan, Drimmo, Killanure, Mountrath passed away peacefully on Tuesday 7 January in the care of the staff at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise surrounded by his loving family.

TO celebrate the link between fine dining and fine company, the recently launched Camross Lunch Club is a social food gathering featuring music, dancing and companionship, the aim of which is to bring people together and avoid isolation.

Kathleen Kennedy (née Scully), Lacca, Mountrath passed away unexpectedly on Thursday 12 December. Kathleen was predeceased by her loving husband Sean and her brother Michael.

Patricia (Pat) Cuddy, (née Mullagh), Killanure, Mountrath passed away peacefully on Friday 8 November at her home surrounded by her loving family after an illness bravely borne. Pat was predeceased by her father Michael (Mick) Mullagh.
